OK, so not even close to Africa YET...

I have stopped over in NYC for two soggy days on my way overseas. I hope to hook up with Lisa Magee who is over at NBCU. I wanted to meet the team but they are so heads down right now that I do not want to interrupt. I can come back another time when I can be more constructive.
In the meantime, I am cleaning up my email, and mastering my new Blackberry and my even newer Kindle (thanks so much Kate, I love it!) so I can be ready for the trip. I already had to buy a smaller, easier to manage suitcase, and have started plans to ship stuff home from here so that I will be carrying less (think of that as more room to shop!).

Friday we are off to Capetown with a short stopover in Senegal (where I will see only the airport). Admit it, how many of you have actually been to Senegal?
